I received a check for $$3,210.00 in the mail today. It is for mystery shopping. The assignment was to send money through Western Union or Moneygram, and I get to keep $300. The check looks so real.
Let's be honest. Do you think making money is that easy?
I don't think so.
This is clearly a scam.
It was from "Blue Seal Staffing" in North Carolina. I googled it and did not get any result.
I needed to check with my reliable source, Mystery Shopping Provider Association.
Please read carefully under "Consumer Warning".

On August 24, 2009 I also received a $3,360.00 check and this is clearly a scam. I Googled Blue Seal Staffing and did find information from others who have also received a check and the same instructions to become mystery shoppers and to wire money. I will be taking the check and the letter to my bank and a copy to the police department.
On October 9, 2009, I also received a check from Blue Seal Staffing in Raleigh, NC for $3,480.00 to become a mystery shopper. It is a scam. Don't cash the check. Take it to the bank and your local police department.
